Known as the “Little Tibet”, the geographical features of Spiti is similar to that of Tibet; even the topography, climate, and the flora are alike. It is located in the Himalayas in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Spiti means ‘the middle land’, and is rightfully called so because it is positioned in between Tibet and India. There is a dominant influence of Buddhist culture in Spiti, more inclined towards the Tibetan Buddhism. This region is least populated in the country, covered with a high altitude alpine land, with scattered villages and monasteries. At Spiti Tour Packages we pride ourselves on being a one-stop resource for established mountaineers and explorers looking
